Liam is, literally, 'a star' in his 1st school play

Another little milestone, and perhaps the most adorable 30-odd minutes either Mummy or Daddy have ever had, ever... Liam's first school play (December 2006).

Here he is, the 'Fourth Star From The Left, Bottom Row, Constellation Nine, Gamma Quadrant' in St Oswald's school's 2006 Christmas play, "Holy Joe". (This is a tribute to unsung hero, Joseph: St Oswald's being a CofE school, the Virgin Mary wasn't even a speaking part!)

Of course, Christmas is a time of miracles, and lo, it somehow came to pass that someone didst persuade Liam to wear this fetching twinkling tinsel headband, and keep it on for more than 5 seconds!

Liam's role was to stand as still as humanly possible, and mime one or two actions indicative of stars twinkling and proclaiming the arrival on Earth of the Messiah and the like, which he kind of managed...

But the most wonderful moment was when he first walked onstage (in the picture below), and committed the ultimate amateur thesp error of pointing out to everyone present that his Mummy and Daddy are in the house.

It was a lovely moment: he sauntered in among the multitude of fellow blazing celestial orbs, and after a brief rummage up one of his nostrils, spotted us at the back, and shouted "DADDY! MUMMY! There's my Mummy and Daddy", which is unlikely to have been in the script (let alone the scriptures - barp).

(These pictures were taken on a fellow parent's digital camera commandeered rather cheekily for a few minutes.)
